Clever Clasp Review

Magnetic clasps can be very user friendly for jewelry wearers with long fingernails, arthritis or those with limited use of their hands or fingers.
Magnetic Clasps work using magnetic charges - opposites attract - the positive charge on one side of the clasp attracts and holds the negative charge on the other side of the clasp. When these clasps work they can be very user friendly for jewelry wearers with long fingernails or have arthritis or other issues causing limited use of their hands or fingers.

This article presents a review of one brand name magnetic clasp: Clever Clasp. Clever Clasp is one of those 'as seen on TV' products that have become available in different retail shops and are used to convert the clasp on existing jewelry to a magnetic clasp. This package of Clever Clasp was purchased in the jewelry department of a Walgreen's Drug Store.

The package contained 4 magnetic clasps - two gold tone and two silver tone plus two 3 inch extenders. The extenders are used to lengthen a necklace and came in both gold and silver tone. What was nice about this product was the fact that once you opened the box the clasps were not shrink wrapped in that heavy plastic that is so difficult to cut open. That would have defeated the whole purpose of the clasps. The clasps and extenders were set in a white display foam form with a easily removeable piece of clear plastic set in place over the foam form.

How they work:
Each magnetic clasp has a spring clasp side and a circle side. So obviously, these clasps can not be attached to an existing necklace or bracelet unless you have like connections on either side of your piece of jewelry: the spring clasp side of your jewelry is connected to the circle of the magnetic clasp converter and vice versa for the circle side of your jewelry.

Also, please note: using the magnetic clasp connector wil add approximately 2 inches to the length of your existing piece of jewelry. This will probably turn a bracelet into an anklet.

Do they work well?
This brand name does not. The magnets are very strong and make for an excellent hold - so it is possible to use this product by just connecting the magnets. However, to stabilize the magnetic connection a barrel has to be screwed over the magnets. This kind of defeats the whole purpose of the clasp as it is difficult to screw the barrel over their threads. Excellent idea - poor execution.

NOTE: While this warning was not printed on the Clever Clasp box - Magnetic clasps are not to be worn with pacemakers or near computers.
The better design on this type of product is to stabilize the connection by using a 90 degree angle twist lock. One simple twist of the wrist locks the mechanism in place.

The One Touch Can Opener - As Seen on TV

At last, a cordless handsfree can opener!

The One Touch Can opener is a great product for the As Seen on TV line. Hong Kong-based Daka has designed what it claims is the world's first such can opener, aimed at the elderly and those stricken by carpel tunnel or arthritis. That's not going to stop the rest of us from getting one since anything that reduces household drudgery is to be celebrated. Operating it is almost mindless. Just place the device on top of a can, hit the One Touch button, and ta-dum. This'll whirl around the can and shut off once mission is accomplished, leaving behind a butt smooth edge. And being battery-operated and cordless, there's no stopping you from pocketing it along to BBQs and camp outs.

As We looked at the reviews for the One Touch Can opener we found that this product fits the bill.

What a great Idea... This product is one of the Hottest As Seen on TV items on the market right now... Here are a couple of Customer Reviews of the item...

Jane in California
This is a really great can opener. My mother suffers from moderate arthritis and says it's the easiest can opener she's ever used. Plus, no more cuts from sharp can edges. This is a wonderful product!!

Hi, Can you please tell me where I can get one of these can openers.

Robert in Texas
I bought three of these can openers and I could not get a single can opened using them. I bought three , one for my wife and the other two for my daughters as gifts. I tried fresh batteries and all I could get the thing to do was puncture the can and then it would stop, if I then wiggled and giggled the can opener it would start and and stop, after five or ten minutes of this wiggling and giggling the can was finally opened. Certainly not like they showed it on TV. I thought the can open that I had selected might be defective but when I tried a second can opener I got the exact same result. I also tried several different cans, I did discover that if after the can is punctured and the motor stops that if I pushed on the motor reset button and held it down then the can lid would then be completely cut off. Of course in order to push and hold the reset button I had to hold the can sideways, this means that the liquid in the can runs all over the place. I am not very happy with the purchase that I made for this product. I am going to request a refund , I would prefer that the can opener worked to getting a refund. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Genisphere Anti Wrinkle Cream - Does it Work?

Here are a few user reviews that I would like to share with you before I speak my mind on the Genisphere Anti - Wrinkle Cream product.

User Reviews

2/12/2007 - Lisa of Michigan, USA writes:

I have been using this product for only 1 week and see a huge difference. I like it so much I will be trying other products by this company.

4/9/2007 - Kristy of North Carolina, USA writes:

I am 35 and have been using Genisphere for about a week. My skin is incredibly soft and I would say the brow line and forehead wrinkles have lessened already. Thus far, I like this product except for the fact that this product does not have instant results within a hour like they claim.

3/20/2007 - Margo of Massachusetts, USA writes:

My boyfriend who is 52 is trying it and I don't see any difference. I tried it for a week and although my skin felt softer, the lines return the next day. I am not impressed and feel this is another rip off.

After some detailed reading and studying reviews of this product online my synopsis is that Genisphere is a good to average Wrinkle treatment. It performs its magic by raising the skin to reduce the wrinkles but it is a repeat use product. It doesn't remove them for ever...

It has a good following of people who love it and others that are looking for the immediate fix and permanent fix. This product is not an immediate fix nor a permanent one... But it works well as an alternative to Botox injections....

Welcome to the As Seen on TV Products Blog

Introduction

Over the coming Weeks and Months I will be writing about the As Seen on TV Market and some of the products that it releases to the public. I run a profitable business both on eBay and on the Web at www.ultimateontv.com. I look forward to providing good information to people that may be looking to buy or sell products in this arena..

I started my business in 2006 and have profited from a lot of feeling the market out. I have come along way but arguably still have a ways to go. The As Seen on TV market can be a challenging arena to get into because they release and retire products so quickly.

Another challenge has been is that the market is flooded with people trying to get rich quickly. The good thing is if you know what you are doing as far as search engine optimization. You will be able to leap above the people that are just trying to get by with adwords or forum postings.

Once again I hope this blog will meet the needs of its readers.

Thanks
